The University at Buffalo is a SUNY higher education institution. UB provides quality and affordable education to all students. Students are responsible for the cost of a college education. Financial Aid programs are available to assist students with college expenses.
Important Financial Aid Information
- Did you receive a scholarship or financial aid award? All new students have until May 1 to accept their admission offer and financial aid awards.
- Did you receive a financial aid resolution follow-up letter? Click here for help with any missing forms or information.
- REMINDER: You must be a full-time student to receive Perkins or Health Profession Loans.
- ATTENTION DIRECT LOAN RECIPIENTS: Please review and complete Entrance Counseling and/or e-MPN if your fall bill does not include Pending Financial Aid.
Top 5 Reasons Why Students May Lose Their Financial Aid:
- No Electronic Master Promissory Note (eMPN)
- Entrance Counseling Requirement not completed
- A student with 60 credit hours or more who has not declared a major (intended major)
- Expected Date of Graduation for Financial Aid not updated
- Poor Satisfactory Academic Progress
