MyUB Security and Your Role

MyUB has been designed using the industry standard in encryption technology. The level of protection provided your confidential information exceeds what is used in most other colleges and universities that offer similar portal access. If you share your computer or use public computers to logon to MyUB, remember that Web browsers store previously visited URLs. Follow these steps to keep your information confidential:

From a PC in a public computing site or departmental lab:

• Exit the browser you are using and turn off the computer

From a SUN station you logged into with your username and password:

• Exit from the browser and log out

From a SUN workstation you did NOT log into (i.e. in the libraries)

• Exit the browser

And remember to retrieve your printouts from public site printers!
