Student Address Changes
University students need to maintain accurate address information.
- Permanent Address - all bills and other official notices are sent to this address.
- Local Address - may be your residence hall address or a nearby address so the University can reach you locally. This may also be your Permanent Address.
- Parent Address - undergraduate students are asked to provide this address for additional communication.
- Emergency Notification - all students need to provide information of a person to be contacted in an emergency situation.
- Diploma Address - location where the student's diploma is mailed.
- Student Employees - If you are employed at the University, by either the State of New York or The Research Foundation, you must also change your address with your employer. Changing/updating your student employee address record provides accurate delivery of your paycheck and W-2. Please log on to the Employee Profile System and complete the required information. NOTE: You will need your UBit username and password to access the Employee Profile System. Contact HR Customer Service at 645-7777 with questions. Work Study students must follow the address update procedure noted on the Work Study Web page.
Changing Your Address
Students with a UBit name and password should make any address change on MyUB. University policy requires you to maintain current address information.
Students or alumni without a UBit name and password can make an address change by completing and mailing the address change form to the Student Response Center.
